We typically use study to learn things; and, that is important. But, stopping at getting information, just so you can know and repeat it, isn’t Jesus’ plan for you. He wants you to learn all about what is available to you. And, then He wants you to learn how to use it to get your life empowered to be successful. Jesus will use this study to assist you in living the power life.

Getting the power life isn’t the same as using it and living it. Just because you get and have Jesus’ power doesn’t mean you know how to put it into practice. Jesus’ objective is to change who you are in such a way that you are happy with the new you.

You can assume that you will be getting instructions for you to try to live. Instead you will be getting instructions for how to let Jesus transform and empower you. Jesus will supply the knowledge, understanding, wisdom, and power. You will provide the willingness to take advantage of all these things.

Just like you can’t read a manual for how to turn yourself into a rabbit, you can’t read these things here or in the Bible and follow the instruction for how you can turn yourself into a child of God. The instructions are for you doing what it takes to give Jesus permission to cause you to be born again. Then, from that point on, you will be yielding to Jesus for each change and improvement that is made in your thoughts, feelings, words, and deeds.

One of the greatest discoveries you will make is, Jesus teaches and empowers you to be a person others enjoy being around. When you are in situations where you are living a “normal” life--places like home, work, times of helping people, times of being someone’s friend-- Christianity really works. You will have the kind of attitudes and character that people will enjoy and trust.

The place where you will run into resistance and pressure will be at parties, clubs, restaurants, and times of relaxation. Many of your friends will love who you are during the normal day. But, once it comes time for everyone to go places to have fun and relax, they will want you to do things the Bible labels sin. That will be the place where you will need to ask Jesus to help and empower you to lead them into understanding how it was hurting you and others around you.

The reason Jesus has labelled these things sin, is because He knows that the end result of you getting involved in them will be damaging to you and those around you. They erode your attitudes and character, your relationships, your emotions, your finances, your physical condition, and your spiritual relationship with Jesus. The Bible labels all those thing sins that will end up with bad consequences.

Jesus doesn’t offer anything that drives you, lures you, baits you, addicts you, or dishonors your God-given free will. He explains what His relationship with you will be like; He helps you understand what He is offering and providing; and then He lets you try Him and Christianity out.

The one thing you can know is, if at any time you want to discontinue your relationship with Jesus, there is no contract, no restraints, no overwhelming, addictive pleasures, and no power exerted on you that keeps you from going back to the world, if you want to. There is extreme freedom in Jesus; and, that freedom allows you to go all the way into everything He has to offer. In this study, Jesus helps you live a life of complete freedom, success, and victory.
