Mat 5:27-28 (NIV) You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.


Adultery

I Didn’t DO Anything Wrong
Our eyes are the window to our body. If we expose our eyes to darkness, then we have great internal darkness.

  • Some want to see how close they can get to sinning and it still not be sin.
    What kind of a look constitutes sin? In other words, what exactly can I get by with.

  • Others, like the Pharisees, wanted to make sure they didn’t sin even to the detriment of women. They wouldn’t even look at a woman at all.

  • Still others put the responsibility on the women. If we cover up everything except their eyes, we have taken care of the problem.
