Mat 5:33-37 (NIV) Again, you have heard that it was said to the people long ago, “Do not break your oath, but keep the oaths you have made to the Lord.” BUT I TELL YOU, Do not swear at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne; or by the earth, for it is His footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King. And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black. Simply let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes’, and your ‘No’, ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.

I Swear To Tell The Whole Truth
Sometimes we teach or preach things and then we get Scriptures to prove that what we are saying is true. However, the Biblical way to teach and preach is to present the Scriptures as the truth and then minister from them.

What we think isn’t the important issue; what God’s word says is the only important thing to minister to people. We need to give up and count as loss all the things WE think. We need people to only know what God says and what He wants us to think. Help people know what God says and the Holy Spirit will help them know what to think.
The way things REALLY ARE is the truth. God is telling us THE WAY THINGS REALLY ARE. He made us and all of creation. He isn’t hiding the truth from us. He is giving us the true picture of all reality. When we think what God tells us, we are thinking about reality. We are living on the basis of what is true. God knows the truth about EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING He tells us is true. That is truth. When we yield to Jesus, we are yielding to a life and ministry of what is really true.

John 14:6 (NIV) Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
