Eph 4:30 (NIV) And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with Whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

The same is true in the Holy Spirit’s disciple training system. If we cease to cooperate with and give permission to the Holy Spirit, we cut off those current benefits of training. Here is where the Gospels will benefit us.

They will help us be more cooperative with the Holy Spirit. Even though the Holy Spirit is using the exact same process for training trainees as Jesus did, looking at the Gospels makes it easier for us to understand what the Holy Spirit wants to do in us. Watching Jesus at work with His disciples helps us see, understand, cooperate with, and give the Holy Spirit permission to do the same things in us. Let’s look at one of the things that causes us to resist cooperating with the Holy Spirit.
