The way your friend got into the family of God was through the gospel message. It is a powerful message that does supernatural things in their life. But, they don’t fully realize exactly what did happen when they did what Romans 10:8-10 instructed them to do. They may not feel like anything great happened. However, they literally were born again into being a child of God. Before they became a Christian, they were just a human. They didn’t have eternal life. And, they weren’t qualified for God’s eternal kingdom. That is a lot of miracles!

Rom 1:16 (NIV) I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. As you go with them through this series, ask Jesus to help you continue to point out the miracle of salvation that had done such a wonderful thing in them. If they can realize just how powerful Jesus and the Bible are, they will be able to believe for more. The power of salvation will help them obey other Scriptures and see the same kind of miracles.
