The seven biblical
principles mentor’s inquiry
Helping Others Live Biblically
All Day Long
It
isn’t until the Bible is brought into people’s lives that it brings transformation
and a close and intimate relationship with Jesus.
By Mel D Westbrook MBTh
Introduction
What Helps With Focus?
The purpose of the Mentor’s Inquiry booklet is
to help your friend or a group of friends see what it is Jesus is trying to
accomplish in them. There are two
situations where your friend will apply themselves with a little more
effort--if they know they are going to be tested or if they are in a
life-situation that the information is helping them solve. Your friend is in a life-situation that Jesus
is using these Biblical principles to solve.
But, they may not realize what kind of a
solution Jesus is using. He approaches
solutions in a very different way. These
questions help them read and pray with much greater focus being applied to
them.
What Is
Going To Help?
When they get together with your friend or a
group of friends, they need to have circled questions they think will help them
understand what it is Jesus is wanting them to learn, pray for, and
obtain. If they ask your friends
questions about that week’s studies and prayers, it helps them notice and get
vital principles that they may have missed.
The objective isn’t to see if they learned anything. It is to see if they are being helped with
their life’s issues. Do they see
Biblical truths that are able to help them be set free from their challenges in
life?
How Do
These Principles Help?
Once a week, they need to meet with your friend
or a group of friends and discuss that week’s Biblical principles. Did they learn important Biblical
principles? Did they see them as
principles that could be applied to their life’s situation? Did they see how the principles could be used
in their daily activities? Did they try
to use them on those things they faced that week? Did the principles make a difference? Did they apply the principles the correct
way? Did they apply the principles to
the right things? Ask Jesus to help they
keep these questions and purposes in front of they all during your time of
meeting with them.
How Do
These Principles Help You?
If they just concentrate on your friend or a
group of friends, then they will miss out on an important issue. The breakthroughs they have experienced in
your life are proof that Bible principles work.
As they review the material and go over the questions in this Mentor’s
Manual, where do they fit into the subjects?
Do they have areas where these principles would help them with current
situations in their life? Have they applied
these principles to your life in the past and received breakthroughs they could
share with your friend? Were there times
when they struggled with applying the principles and learned important things
about how to apply them? Get yourself
and your life involved in this mentoring process of helping your friend.
An
Open-Book Test
Make sure your friends have a copy of the
Christian’s Inquiry booklet. If they are
aware of what questions they need to be discussing, frequently they will get
more out of their studies and prayers.

Biblical Principles” Mentor’s Inquiry Booklet
